What to Expect
Soul Degree is more than a retreat. It’s a shared experience that includes the full arc of mental preparation, physical immersion, and action-oriented integration.
Pre-Retreat
You'll receive throught-provoking prompts and exercises designed to prepare you for what's ahead. We'll gather on a virtual call to meet, ask questions, and begin begin the inner work.
This pre-work will help clarify your "why" and create the space (mentally and logistically) to prepare for what will undoubtedly deliver meaningful personal transformation.
On Retreat
Day 1: Arrive. Set intentions. Connect deeply. Get ready.
Day 2: Widen the aperture through meditation, yoga, ceremonial breath work. Go inward.
Day 3: Stretch our hearts, minds and bodies. Breathe deeper. Hike further. Open wider.
Day 4: Solve our inner dilemmas. Expand our curiosities. Crystallize what's next.
Day 5: Reveal discoveries. Draw lessons from others. Map your path. Seal our brotherhood.
Post-Retreat
Several virtual group session helps you integrate what you've learned and translate insight into action. A set of private calls with Chris will help refine your plan and deepen the connection.
Group virtual meetings offer space for honest, heartfelt connection, accountability, and shared goals as you begin to live into what you've begun.

✓ Reconnect with clarity, courage, and purpose
✓ Explore deeper emotional, physical, and spiritual presence

Can you hear yourself searching for something larger, more expansive?
You know you need something… but you can't name it.
Or maybe there's a voice asking: Is this all there is?
Soul Degree isn't a life-improvement scheme.
It's a schematic.

— Keith

About Your Host
Christopher Robbins has spent his life exploring what it means to live with clarity, humility, and a sense of purpose. Raised at the intersection of ontological thought and the great outdoors, he learned to listen deeply — though it didn’t spare him from detours, failures, or depressive shadows that ultimately helped reshaped his life.
Out of those years came Soul Degree. A self-made creation designed to help him rediscover the joys of being a boy, slowing down, hanging out in nature, and circling up with men seeking honest conversation and deeper meaning.
Since then, he has hosted more than 20 Soul Degree retreats, guided international alumni journeys, and developed The Huddle, a virtual program that supports ongoing personal transformation and friendship.
He continues to navigate his own path through reflection, inquiry, and community — and looks forward to exploring these questions with you.
FAQs
-
Any man between the ages of 21-81, ready to discover the stuff we don’t know we don’t know; open-minded explorers of what’s next or what could be; Aficionados of the great outdoors; emotional, psychological, and physical risk-takers; purveyors of laughter, letting go, brotherhood, conscious life reviews, and spiritual grounding.
-
Soul Degree hosts two small-batch retreats each year (Spring & Fall) on a remote 200-acre property located in Woodstock, Vermont. Woodstock is a 2.5-hour drive from Boston, a 2-hour drive from Hartford CT/Albany, NY, and about 1.5 hours from Burlington, VT.
The program begins when you commit to yourself to make it happen, but in earnest, we begin about 3 weeks in advance of our retreat and remain together and connected over a four month period.
-
We do not (officially) provide ground transportation from Boston, Burlington, or Albany, but we offer many options from local drivers, shuttles, or car rentals, and are always happy to help facilitate ride sharing between participants.
-
Space is limited to 12 participants only. We keep our retreats intentionally intimate - this group size enables all of us to support each other while still having enough time to listen, hear, connect, and share with everyone. Don’t wait, beds fill quickly.
-
Included in the total cost of tuition is a custom-designed online and in-person self-discovery program that takes place over 4 months.
Included are all pre- and post- facilitated meetups and a 4-night/5-day retreat led by the Founder, Christopher Robbins.
Also included are a full-size queen bed, bedding, breakfast, lunch, dinner, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, trail lunches, reading material, journals, yoga gear and instruction, guided meditations, somatic/holotropic breath ceremony, trip planning, personalized gifts, Kelty day packs, hiking poles, etc.
-
You will be asked to wake up early and go to bed relatively late, practice yoga each day, and hike single-track and logging road trails over 6-10 miles per day while carrying a day pack filled with lunch, water, and a change of clothes. Nothing earth-shattering, but you want to show up feeling fit/prepared, no bum knees or bad hips allowed.
-
Not to worry if you’ve never done any type of yoga or meditation practice. Don’t fret or over think this one. Plus, what’s not to to benefit and learn from a walk in the woods, a moment of silence, and a stretch of the muscles. This is good for all of us, it doesn’t require any prior experience, and I’ll be there too.
-
Delicious, healthy food is an essential when traveling, so we take this seriously. Each retreat is served by a private chef, custom-cooking each meal. We will be sure to capture your dietary requirements before circling up. Sleeping accommodations include full-size queen beds and private bathrooms, shared with one other person. If you desire tenting/outdoor sleeping accommodations, please inquire separately.
-
At Soul Degree we honor the adult in everyone. We are not the behavior police. As such, we don’t condone alcohol, nor do we necessarily encourage it. We’re fans of trying new things, and if this means a change in normal consumption habits, have fun. With that said, we do provide a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic alternatives. Practicing moderation around a fire, after dinner, while respecting the choices of others is a general mindset.
-
Not exactly. Soul Degree is a gift and a great thing to offer a loved one, but for the program to really “work,” the individual attendee really needs to choose the experience by himself, for himself. Without pure and honest excitement (and commitment) from the direct participant, the sparks won’t fly and the time, energy, and money will be wasted.
-
Your deposit payment reserves your spot in the program and is non-refundable. Payments beyond the deposit are refundable up to 75 days before the retreat date.
Transfers to another person are prohibited. Transfers to other retreat dates may be honored provided space is available and your request is made 75 days before your purchased retreat.
Should you cancel your attendance, you will immediately lose access to any bonuses, extras, future program calls, etc. that you were granted as part of your purchase.
